Kids 4-13 can join our Park’s Sky Ranger and fulfill the requirements for a Junior Ranger Night Explorer patch customized to Gateway Arch National Park!  Along the way, learn about some sky legends and also get some tips on exploring the night sky.

This presentation will take place in Tucker Theater at 7 pm on August 30th, rain or shine. 

Weather permitting, telescope viewing will take place on the Entrance Plaza after this program.  Call 314-655-1704 the afternoon of August 30 to check on the status of the event.

Join this free event as we explore nocturnal bird flights at Gateway Arch National Park

Last September, the Lights Out Heartland organization and the Park partnered to install an acoustic logger to monitor bird calls during the fall migration.  Learn about the results of this study during this fascinating presentation by LOH Founder Don Ficken.  The presentation will be held in the Education Classroom inside the Gateway Arch visitor center.

Weather permitting, the program will be followed by free telescope viewing on the Entrance Plaza.

This event may be cancelled in the event of rain. Check Gateway Arch National Park on social media and its events page for updates.

If you can’t make it this time, there are future events scheduled for July 5, August 2, September 27, and October 25.  A guest speaker or Park Ranger led talk will precede free telescope viewing at the Gateway Arch entrance plaza.
